Can't wait to see what they did with this new film. Alice's Adventures in Wonderland is much more than ordinary child's fiction. Much more than a simple bedtime story. It has always been my favorite disney cartoon and i've been thinking about that. Was it the beautiful colors and trippy story? Was it absolutely nonsense or a masterpiece? I feel that theres a deeper meaning to much of the storyline, for example in several parts Caroll experiments with existence and non-existence (I shall call it). In Wonderland it seems that beings and non-beings exist in harmony.
I've often seen a cat without a grin; but a grin without a cat! It's the most curious thing I ever saw in my life!
Nothingness and space is constantly being asserted.
If I had a world of my own, everything would be nonsense. Nothing would be what it is, because everything would be what it isn't. And contrary wise, what is, it wouldn't be. And what it wouldn't be, it would. You see?
Besides existence, theres even more chaos in the story. I hope Disney does the Alice title some justice. Hope my expectations don't go unfulfilled. It is a totally different story, after all.
When I was writing my article, some reviews said it was disappointing for both Burton and the actual story. And it focuses on the Mad Hatter too much, evidently. I bet its amazing though.
