Question of the day:

Is the world a fundamentally better place because of science and technology, or does that just perpetuate mankind's unhappiness?

  1. it depends of the strength of each individual's mind to be able to create some sort of separation between what we know as technologically possible and what we deem as natural and a part of our human existence. In short, we should be able to appreciate both at the right times. But, if there was no technology, you and I couldn't skype everyday.

  2. oh... and no, the world is not fundamentally better because of technology. Our world is just as beneficial to us as it always has been. Some people may consider that their lives are better, but some of these people might also be blind to what their lives would be like without technology. THIS is what would perpetuate someone's unhappiness in regards to technology.

  3. worse off, for sure. the myth of civilization and progress, tells us that we become better and advance. but we still face the same problems as always. nothing has changed since the beginning of time
